Why Attend?

IT professionals are able to enjoy an ever increasing presence of Ethernet in the data center.  This low-cost and user-friendly technology has expanded to allow its use in environments and applications historically allocated to more application-specific technologies.  With the introduction of speeds of up to 100 Gb/s, ultra-low latency, and technologies such as Data Center Bridging (DCB), Ethernet continues to expand and support an ever increasing number of applications that span from Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) to iWARP (Internet wide area RDMA protocol).

The Ethernet Alliance will host a one-day Technology Exploration Forum to discuss Next Generation Ethernet in the Data Center that will focus on needs, applications, adoption and deployment. This forum will bring together experts in the Ethernet industry to discuss and explore this area.  In addition to the Ethernet Alliance’s own broad membership, which includes end users, system and component vendors, this event will also be open to non-Ethernet Alliance members.  Together, participants will provide a broad set of backgrounds that should enable lively discussion.
