Principal Member Benefits ($17,500)


The Ethernet Alliance’s Principal Members are committed to active participation in the activities conducted by the Ethernet Alliance to achieve its goals.

Principal Members in good standing are entitled to:

  • The right to vote on all matters, as set forth in the Bylaws. In addition, Principal Members shall have all rights afforded voting members under the California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings of Members; will be eligible to attend and participate in any working committee that might be formed; will be eligible to participate in any show, activities, seminars and conferences sponsored by the Ethernet Alliance.
  • One (1) vote at all membership meetings (annual, general and special), at all elections (Board of Directors, officers, working committee chair/vice-chair) and in all circumstances where a Principal Member may cast a ballot.
  • The right to run for a Board of Directors’ seat and to serve as an Officer of the Ethernet Alliance and a working committee chair or vice-chair.
  • Use the Ethernet Alliance’s Member logo and Member plaque, denoting involvement in the Ethernet Alliance in accordance with the Ethernet Alliance’s logo licensing policies.
  • All documentation and materials generated by or on behalf of the Ethernet Alliance, including: access to all Working Committee working documents, meeting minutes, and written contributions.
  • No cost participation in up to three (3) plugfests, $2500 for each additional participation.
  • Propose new working committees to address specific issues.
  • Receive priority over Participating Members to participate in marketing activities.
  • Receive priority over Participating Members to participate in interoperability events hosted by the Ethernet Alliance.
  • Submit written contributions.
  • Subscribe to all general e-mail reflector lists maintained by the Ethernet Alliance.
  • Receive priority over Participating Members for Member’s name posted on the Ethernet Alliance’s web site.
  • Receive a Member spotlight on the Ethernet Alliance’s home page.

Participating Members Benefits ($10,000)


The Ethernet Alliance’s Participating Members are committed to active participation in the activities conducted by the Ethernet Alliance to achieve its goals. Participating Members shall not have voting rights in the Ethernet Alliance.

Participating Members in good standing are entitled to:

  • Attend and participate in all meetings of Members; will be eligible to attend and participate in any working committee that might be formed; will be eligible to participate in any show, activities, seminars and conferences sponsored by the Ethernet Alliance.
  • The right to serve as a working committee chair or vice-chair.
  • Use the Ethernet Alliance’s Member logo and Member plaque, denoting involvement in the Ethernet Alliance in accordance with the Ethernet Alliance’s logo licensing policies.
  • All documentation and materials generated by or on behalf of the Ethernet Alliance, including: access to all Working Committee working documents, meeting minutes, and written contributions.
  • Propose new working committees to address specific issues.
  • Participate in marketing activities.

Consulting Members Benefits


Consulting membership is restricted not-for-profit institutions who have been invited by the Board of Directors to join the Ethernet Alliance as a Consulting Member. Consulting Members have no voting rights at any meeting of Members of the Ethernet Alliance and are not entitled to participate in any activity sponsored by the Ethernet Alliance except by invitation of the Board.

Consulting Members in good standing are entitled to:

  • Attend and participate in all meetings of Members; will be eligible to attend and participate in any working committee that might be formed.
  • Use the Ethernet Alliance’s Member logo and Member plaque, denoting involvement in the Alliance in accordance with the Ethernet Alliance’s logo licensing policies.
  • All documentation and materials generated by or on behalf of the Ethernet Alliance, including: access to all Working Committee working documents, meeting minutes, and written contributions.
  • Submit written contributions.
  • Subscribe to all general e-mail reflector lists maintained by the Ethernet Alliance.
  • Member’s name posted on the Ethernet Alliance’s web site.
